This week, we held a Virtual Celebration to commemorate the achievements of our Ulster University branch campus graduates. In spite of the times, we were determined to celebrate, recognise achievements and inspire students towards their future endeavours – albeit virtually and from the comfort of our own homes!

We were joined by over 40 graduates, an array of panellists including Dr Peter Green, Head of Partnership at Ulster University, QA Higher Education faculty, and even a fellow Ulster University alumni, Alejandro Becerra Palacios, who tuned in all the way from Colombia!

This event is a testament to students at the university, for the high-quality work they have produced in these challenging circumstances. Dr. Peter Green recognised the success of students and encouraged all to celebrate this with their family and friends whilst staying safe over the festive period.

We heard from Tracy Mncube, Head of Department, who told students to “be bold, be courageous and be your best” when making the next steps in their career. Programme Leader and Course Director, Xheladin Pira, shared his words of wisdom: “Don’t let the past and your degree dictate who you are and what you do, let it be a part of who you will become and how you do things in the future.”

Alejandro Becerra Palacios, one of our fantastic alumni gave an inspiring talk about the success he has gained since finishing his studies and how it “changed his life”. Telling students that “your hard work will bring you closer to achieving your dreams and goals. And if put it into practice, it can take you wherever you want. You only need to dream where and work hard to get there.”

Congratulations to all students who have graduated, we wish you every success in all of your future endeavours!
