Students on our London branch campus program took part in our Enterprise Festival on Thursday 4th May 2017. The Enterprise Festival gives students the chance to develop a business idea and work through the process that is required to turn it from an idea to a real business. Students are then required to attend the Enterprise Festival and present their businesses to their peers and university academics.

The event was a huge success with many budding entrepreneurs excited to show off their hard work over the previous weeks and months. The business ideas were varied, with everything on display from jewellery to virtual reality experiences.

What businesses were on show?

There were many different businesses attending the exhibition, offering a wide range of products. Here’s just a few of them:

HandyCareLtd

HandyCareLtd is a recruitment agency for the care sector, providing jobs for nurses, HCAs, carers and support workers for both the NHS and private sector. Connected with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), they anticipate increased need for carers given the elderly demographic continues to rise and with it increased care.

Marilena, the creator of HandyCare Ltd had this to say: “The Enterprise Festival was a wonderful insight into the world of business and provided excellent networking opportunities, we left with a special sense of achievement.”

N’ania Children Hotel

A unique idea for a children’s hotel to enabling parents to leave their children in the care of trained professionals, allowing them time and freedom to do other things around London.

Smoov

This business aims to take a slice of the smoothie market in the UK with the fresh fruit smoothies, the popularity of their drinks and the buzz their products created at the event certainly spoke for itself.
