If you have a known disability then we encourage you to contact the Learning Support team as soon as you know when you are going to be studying at the Ulster University branch campuses. We would also encourage students to come and speak to us if they are concerned about an injury or short term medical condition such as a broken bone, or recovery from an operation, as we may also be able to help.
How we can support you
If you are able to produce medical evidence, we can work with you to make special arrangements which may support you during your studies. Students are also free to contact us at any time during their studies if they are unsure or have recently discovered they have a medical condition that is affecting their studies.
These adjustments can be things like:
- Information handouts can be available in advance
- Classroom times and locations are arranged so they are easily accessible for you
- Extra study time and deadline extensions will be given where reasonable
If you believe you will require extra support and you are living overseas we would recommend that you inform your admissions representative at the point of enquiry and we can consider each case individually.
