We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the library workers across our university partners for all of the hard work they put into supporting our students. Libraries are an essential service to help our students get the most of their studies and are an integral part of the university.
There are a range of great services and support available at our Centres libraries. We spent some time with Ihar Ivanou, Head of Learning Resources, to find out how our library team can support you.
Online Library Portal
Our friendly team of librarians are here to help you find the resources you need throughout your studies. The team has developed an online library portal full of support materials in both text and video formats to help. Available to access on the go, whenever you need it. The portal includes reading lists, guides for referencing, a catalogue to find textbooks, and much more!
1:1 Appointments
If you require some individual help on a specific topic, you can book a one-to-one appointment with all of our librarians, both in person or via video conferencing platforms. Appointments are available throughout the week as well as in the evenings and on Saturdays upon request, to fit around your studies.
IT Equipment
We have a number of laptops that can be borrowed for use anywhere across our campuses, as well as in our working spaces. Our libraries have a combined printer, photocopier, and scanner, with staff on hand to help you use these devices too.
Study Space
Many students use our libraries as a study space, particularly if they don’t have an appropriate space at home. We have created quiet study corners that allow you to focus on your work, with minimal disruptions. Our libraries are open in the evenings and weekends, for those wanting to study around other commitments.
