The EU referendum held on 23 June 2016 resulted in a vote for the UK to leave the European Union. The UK government is now preparing to engage in a process of negotiating the terms of the UK’s exit from the European Union. Until such time as this process has been completed, the status of EU students studying and living in the UK will remain unchanged. Ulster University’s global outlook and ambition remains strong and our European colleagues, students and partnerships are important to us.

To current and prospective EU students

The immigration status of current and prospective EU students remains unchanged until the UK completes the process to leave the European Union. The Student Loans Company has issued a statement about student finance for EU students currently studying or intending on studying in the UK:
